I'll be returning from Portland on Monday afternoon and will be visiting all of the other Mute Monday participants. Here's hoping those "scalped" tickets to American Idol are good because otherwise I'm buying my ten year old nephew a pony to make up for it.
I'm not sure how this latest video relates to "independence" but I do know the day I signed papers to become part owner, was a day I felt pretty damn,
free.
Happy Mute Monday!

I love that line from the Graduate. You could say that the advent of plastics made us less depentent on steel (but more dependent on petroleum - doh).
Happy MM!
i had no idea how labor intensive making those stands was, sugar! xoxo
That ruled. Are your products petroleum based?
Happy Mute Monday!
Plus .... you get to play with fire~! I agree, being self sufficient with your own home/work/etc is the best form of independence. I think there is also a line about plastics in "It's a Wonderful Life" ....
Is this jes' dang well AWEsome or what??
I'se jealous.
Happy Independence fer Life!
BTW, I can't wait to hear your report on the AI concert!!! Take pics!!!
Excellent! And your final comment made me think about my own bid for independence in a couple of weeks. Happy MM x
There can be no entrepreneurial spirit without independence.
Er.........I's take the pony before the tickets. Have a great time, looking forward to the follow up post.
Brilliant.
Loved using the Graduate and the music selection.
man that looks rather toxic! fire and plastic. hmmmmm so thats whats wrong with you. ;-D grrherhahaha jus kiddin. hey. you know what? you are SUCH a good film maker. forget plastic, go film young woman!!!! i love that report all injuries finale. so good. happy MM
Feast or famine, isn't that the way of production work?
Sheesh ....
I will never, ever again take for granted the plastic displays that are all over the place.
You may have made it.
I'm just gonna call you Rosie the Riveter from now on. I have a picture of her hanging up on my bedroom wall, and you totally embody her kick-ass spirit!
This was long overdue as I was curious about the business of Boxer. Great stuff. Happy MM.
Here is a video contest you can enter.

Awesome. As always. Can't wait to hear about the AI concert....
I'm back! Tired, exhausted, but it was a great trip, AMTRAK is amazing and the tickets were good and the concert....FABULOUS. I'm working on a video and post for tomorrow but for now I'm paying for my fun by needing to get back to work. Acrylic is petroleum based, so the gas crisis of last year hit us and THEN the good old recession took another bite. Thanks Al Gore for the video contest link, I'm going to go look at that next. And my hope with this video is that you all will take a closer look the next time you see something made from Plexiglas.... quality is hard to maintain when you make things by hand and that is our constant struggle. But I'm proud of my little company and thanks to everyone for watching and commenting. XOXOXOXOX.
I'm SO jealous y'all get to play with those little teeny tiny torches! Dang it. I shoulda gone into plastics. Happy, happy and I can't wait for your concert report!
Is it cheating to read the other comments while watching the video?
I did like seeing how you build stuff. Your products all look very nice. But I suppose you already knew that, didn't you?
Also, a little part of me dies every time I hear anything about American Idol.
Interesting! Happy Monday! :)
Moi - those aren't my hands, but I do flame polish and it's one of my favorite things to do. It does POP! when it ignites and I love to scare temps by saying "fire in the hole!"
Native Minnow - thanks for watching and I'd suggest NOT coming back tomorrow. Trust me.
Vixen - thanks!
