The Post Native Minnow Doesn't Want to Read

Moviemaker is killing me tonight by not accepting transitions and freezing up every time I change a frame.

It does that at times and it's not pretty when it happens.

I have two versions (so far) of the American Idol Concert. One is short and features what every great concert needs,

A Cougar (and it's not ME.)

The second version is LONG and if you truly love Idol, you'll want to watch the entire six minutes. That link will be up once Youtube will accept it. (The shorter version is below.)

If you're Native Minnow, then you're going to pour bleach in your eyes if you watch even a second of either of them.

I have more pictures/etc and those will come later this week. It was a long twenty four hours of trains/taxis/walking/etc. to get my nephew and I into our seats,

but it was all worth the effort when during "Hey Jude" I looked over to see him waving a glow stick and smiling.

Right now, I am entering "Hell Month" (July) and I have 4,000 brochure holders to have built in the next twelve days and the only person answering my ads for experienced help (I have enough temps) is the same guy who worked for us (and I fired) or the competition needing work.

I'm screwed.

I hope you understand what an act of love it was for me to watch that. I don't have any bleach, but I think I now have to take out my new contacts and disenfect them.

I love this country. There you had a stage full of people with almost enough talent to be ordinary people...and they're out there making a living. Wow.

Today we'll spend the entire day deifying a mediocre talent, drug addicted, anorexic, pedophile and ensconce him in legend as "one of our greats."

I feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I think you have the luckiest and most-loved nephew in the world that you would put yourself thru this for him, and I'm delighted that he had a good time!

It's either not enough work or not enough workers... the eternal struggle for small business owners. Do you have plastic nightmares at night? I'll be glad when July is over and I know you will too!

You are definitely the cool aunt. I love that title. The cougar? No comment - it will probably be me in about 15 years.

Hang in there girlfriend. Work is good - and I know you will deliver. You will drink heavily afterwards, but you will deliver...

I tell you what, you're one awesome aunt. And that cougar footage is priceless. Shoot me if I ever, 'kay?

Welcome to the 21st Century where everyone is a celebrity 24/7. Personally I think that Humans have wasted Millenia listening to Leaders with agendas telling us that only a handful of people are "special"..bullsh*t..American Idol proves that there are thousands of fabulous singers.

Now we need American Idol to branch out into brain surgery, rocket science and politics.

Cougars need love too, they are awesome!
Cougars are essential because they prey on the weak and not-as-fussy MILF hunters which hopefully keeps these unhealthy specimens from reproducing and clogging up the shallow end of the gene pool.

Just as we should be aware that Playboy Pinups are "Somebody's Daughter", we also need to start acknowledging that Cougars are "Somebody's Daughter or Mom, Aunt, Sister".

Whatever happened to the American Cougar reality show?

Old K - the crazy tat girl was super hot in person.

Savannah - The Cougar was very entertaining because she wasn't dancing IN FRONT of me.

Gnomey - Group Hug?

Sophie - hello! ;-) Actually, I'm a huge fan of the show and was just as excited. Hee. My Nephew is typically very quiet, so seeing him waving the glow stick was the highlight. Oh, and Adam!!!

K9 - you can soooooo dance better than that woman. That's all I could think of when I was watching her.

Skipper - Just promise you won't shake your breasts at Anoop, and you'll be OK.

Moi - Shoot me too? We can add Skipper to our little "club"

Donn! ahahahahahahah. I'm not sure where that Cougar Reality show went. Dang. I wanted to watch it too.

I refuse to watch even a second. I don't like the feel of bleach on my eyes.

Terrifying.
Sad.
No rhythm.

Native - I warned you, Boo Boo.

Blaze - bwahahahahaha. You're right.I wish I had footage of security telling her to sit down. She looked so sad.

Was the cougar wearing a bra?

pamokc said...

OMG, you are never allowed to go to a concert with me. Ever. Ask Kymmie, she will understand. However, love love LOVE the video, looks like loads of fun. Was with the husband today at the eye doc and he was trying on new glasses -- several pair were met with the comment "no, that's too Gokey"... ha! One cool auntie for sure.

P.S. That is highly specialized work that you do; no wonder you have a hard time finding help. How do you train someone to do the work?

Boxer said...

Troll - I assumed that not wearing a bra was what ever Cougar does? I'll gob back and check.

Pam!!!! Gokey is BUFF. Oh my. He took off his jacket and the crowd (mostly woman over 40!) went nutz. He was much better live and was the only one who really talked to the audience. Adam, God love him, was the most detached. Kris? ZZZZZZZZZ. Even my nephew said "I got bored by Kris, but not Adam." All in all, probably the best American Idol concert I've attended. Production value was excellent and they really seemed to enjoy the show. Of course, it was their first one, so I'd be interested in what happens in 2 months. Gokey Glasses! I love that.

Work: uff-da. Training can take up to six months. Today we trained a young college student to bend some sign holders and he screwed up over half of them. Luckily not an expensive mistake, but time is of the essence right now. Thanks for asking.

I was going to mention the guns on Gokey. He is a sneakily sexy thing, isn't he? Adam is living up to the promise of Adam, I see. And how cool was my girl, Allison? I have high hopes for that one. The world needs more girl rock stars. And more cool aunties like you.

Cougar's forest lair
full of grass for the young buck.
Dinner for two, too.

Boxer said...

Moi - Who knew???? Gokey has great stage presence.... really interacted with the crowd and his energy was great. Your Alison was also amazing and she did her duet (slowride) with Adam. One of the best songs of the night. Our gal L'il was zzzzzzz, along with the rest of the bottom 6. The top 5 should tour, leave the rest at home.

Haiku - bwahahahahahahahaha. I love it.

K9 said...

im a private dancer though.
whats the next summer adventure auntie boxer?

Boxer said...

K9 - being "private" is MUCH better and now that you ask..... my next adventure is taking the 15 year old nephew to S.F. next week! And I'm super excited. It's his b-day prez and his parents were kind to let him go somewhere he's never been.

K9 said...

V will be there too! actually from the 22-30th.

Boxer said...

we're leaving 17th, back on the 19th. There's a Georgia O'Keefe show at the SFMOMA he wants to see. I'm going to make the boy WALK the entire city... which thanks to living in San Jose for two years and visits, S.F. is a city I can actually drive/walk around. He's super excited. So am I.

Aunt Boxer,
Can I be adopted please? I even do my own laundry!

Random Chick said...

Adam Lambert should have won...as well as the cougar. LOL!!!

Looks like you had fun.

Brad said...

I'm available as cheap (free) labor after 5 each work night.

P.S. You'll never be a cougar.

Boxer said...

Fishy - :-) xoxoxo to you.

Random Chick - I think Adam will utimately be in a better place because he didn't "win".. but if you heard the crowd SCREAMING everytime he came on stage... I'd say he did win.

Brad - Thanks Man! Mucho appreciated and I also appreciate the non cougar comment. :-)

Wendy said...

OK, I'm not an Idol fan, but this looks way fun. And I love, love, love The Cougar. When I'm her age, I want to be just like her. Wait. I am her age, aren't I? Oops. ROCK ON!

Aunt Boxer,
No AI for me, it will be driftwood sculptures on the island, shells, rocks , the ultimate doughnuts and maybe some art .... unless you have a design center up there?
