In one last ditch effort to find someone who not only WANTS to work, but is able to work, I posted (yet) another ad on Craigslist.
I love Craigslist. Not only did it reunite me with Lucy three years ago when she escaped from the back yard but within two hours of posting my newest ad,
I received a resume from a person with experience and he hadn't worked for the competition,
he worked for one of our customers.
"Ward" started today and he's a mellow guy who has kids and a car payment and I'll be happy to hand him a check tomorrow. His laid back personality melds well with my biz partner and that's always a good thing. "Ward" combined with "Bambi" (22 year college student) is working well and my hope is to have things continue to move "smoothly" until our last temp of the summer "Cousin" (son of cousin) arrives next Tuesday.
Are you having a good week? I have worries over Stella's appetite, 4,000 brochure to build and a trip to S.F. that falls right in the middle of our bizzy production schedule (a trip OBVIOUSLY planned back when things were slow.)
I'll back on Friday.
Have a great Thursday.

we gotta get "cousin" and "nephew" together. grerherhaha. stella! whats wrong? she snubs her food? hmmmmmm what can be done?
ward is a laid back name. as long as its not the psyche ward.
My week has been hectic, but today made it very good. I received word that a manuscript I submitted for publication in May will be accepted with a few minor revisions. Yay!!
is it really thursday? everything will work out, sugar! i have confidence. xoxoxxo
(i also have stopped looking at clocks.*sigh*)
good week....ahhhhhh.
k9 had the same thought I did. ;-)
K9 - Stella is going to the Vet today, 'cuz I'm not in the mood to play Dr.Google this time. Hopefully, she's an old girl, so I'm keeping good thoughts. "Cousin" is 18 and still has his teeth!
Native - That's some great news, getting published? Congrats. I guess you're just not another pretty face with a phd.
Savannah - I call weeks like this "swirly" because things move too fast. xoxox.
Shamy - I hope you got some good pictures of birds this morning.
Ree - Thanks! Your weeks are always bizzy aren't they?
Yay, Thursday! Chill is coming to visit me on Sunday. Have to wrap up an assignment and my column this weekend, then I'm soooo looking forward to vacation. Sometimes, being bizzy isn't as good as it sounds.
Hope Stella is OK. Time to mix some Spam into the kibble?
One day at a time, dudette, one day at a time.
Ward as in Cleaver? Yay for Craigslist. I love it too. We posted a couple of items for sale on there and they were gone in literally a couple of hours. No more hosting a yard sale for me! Craigslist will get a list of the good stuff and the rest can just go to charity.
Wendy - the annual visit! I always love knowing you two have your visits. Last year you visited her and got a tattoo, right? What's in store for this year? Have a wonderful visit.
Moi - Living in the moment, pal. Thanks and xoxox.
Pamokc - Craigslist, when you don't consider the MURDERS is a pretty amazing thing. "Bambi" the temp told me today he gets all sorts of free electronics on craigslist and then takes them apart. And "Ward" as in that's what I was calling him by accident. I'm sooooo bad with names. Just ask Moi.
Craigslist is flat-out wonderful. Glad to hear it's working out for you too, and I think a blend of personalities that aren't necessarily the same but complement each other well makes for a productive office. It should keep things somewhat interesting too.
